Last week Mark Hoemmen gave a short overview of the whole
communication-avoiding linear algebra agenda (dense (LU, QR, Cholesky)
and sparse) at our ParLab retreat last week, which was attended by many
high level industrial people (including Andrew Chien, Director of Research
for Intel, and John Feo, Chief Architect for Microsoft).
There were 3 days of talks from all the ParLab projects, but at the industrial
feedback session at the end both Intel and Microsoft singled out Mark's talk
for praise, for telling them surprising things they didn't know.
Congratulations to Mark, and to us all!

Now we just have to finish writing it all up, not to mention implementing it...

Thanks for all your important and on-going contributions to this work!

Jim
