For discussions of upcoming user namespace changes in EECS
IRIS is reviewing its current offering of Directory Services (e.g. NIS, Active Directory, LDAP) and looking for ways to consolidate our services. Discussions are beginning on which services to retire, which to continue to support locally, and which services can be supplanted by IST offerings. This mailing list is intended to facilitate that discussion. All members of the IRIS community are welcome to participate, though the discussion will mainly be of interest to system administrators and application developers.
